Our Period 1 Photography I - Mission:

We will be creative, artistic, and learn photography skills.  Using a camera we will develop high quality pictures.  We will learn the darkroom process.  We are all different people coming up with good ideas.


Our Class goal: is to earn an 85% or higher on all formative and summative assessments.




Our Period 3 Foundations of Art - Mission is: to be outstanding students.  We can do this by being respectful of our teachers, fellow students, and ourselves.  We will work diligently, creatively, and safely. 


Our goals include: earning a 76% or higher on all summative and formative assessments, completing all assignments, and getting along.




Our Period 4 Photography II - Mission:

We will further our photography skills.  Assist each other.  Apply our creativity to photography skills.


Our Goal is to earn an 80% or higher on all formative and summative assessments. 




Our Period 5 Photography I - Mission is: To maintain good grades on summative and formative assignments.  Express ourselves creatively with an open mind to become better photographers.


Goal: We will achieve an 85% or higher on all formative and summative assessments.




ELKTON HIGH SCHOOL ART DEPARTMENT MISSION STATEMENT:

The Elkton High School Art Department Mission is to provide a comprehensive instructional program in the visual arts to all students registered in art classes that reflect the National Standards and the Maryland Essential Learner Outcomes for Fine Arts.

The Department will develop art students who reach their greatest potential.


So that this Mission is fructified, we shall:


1)Facilitate the development of Mission Statements for each classroom of students.

2)Articulate the connection between the visual arts and other endeavors.

3)Establish consistent classroom procedures across the department including daily outcomes, grading rubrics, word walls and assessments.

4)Display student artwork throughout the campus and community.

5)Establish and maintain a National Art Honor Society chapter.

6)Guide students to pursue an orderly, cohesive and challenging course of study in the visual arts.

7)Develop and manage an adequate budget.

  1. 8)Maintain certified, experienced teachers in each art classroom.





CECIL COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS FINE ART MISSION & VISION STATEMENT:


The Cecil County Public Schools Fine Arts Department's mission is to provide a comprehensive instructional program for grades pre-K-12 in art, dance, music and theatre that reflects the National Standards, the Maryland State Essential Learner Outcomes for Fine Arts and provides a lifelong foundation for the understanding and appreciation of all the Arts.


  1. *Implementation of pre-K-12 curriculum that supports state and national standards

* Employment of certified staff to support all arts disciplines at each level

  1. *Articulation of all arts agencies within the community to support the goals     and objectives of the program

  2. *Maintenance of a comprehensive performance and enrichment program at each level to support the accomplishments of all students

  3. *Development and management of an adequate budget to support all parameters of the program

  4. *Implementation of an annual strategic planning process to ensure meeting the goals and objectives of the program
